Endowment Fund

  • Endowment Fund gifts are gifts that “keep on giving”

  • Thanks to the generosity of Valley members, the Valley Community Presbyterian Church Endowment Fund received a total of $4,602 in gifts in 2007.  This brings the total amount of gifts received since the fund was established in 1984 to $277,199.  The Fund’s net asset value on December 31, 2007 was $417,488 versus $409,163 on December 31, 2006.   During the year 2007, total grants of $13,779 were provided to various organizations and individuals. This brings the total dollar value of grants provided by your Endowment Fund to approximately $153,033.  

    During 2006 Session authorized the creation of a Supportive Ministries Fund (SMF)  The Endowment Committee was asked to manage this fund.  Gifts to this fund will be invested in the same investment vehicles as monies contributed to the Endowment Fund.  The Endowment Committee has committed $5,000 per year to the SMF over a 3 year period. The SMF received a total of $9,337 in gifts in 2007.

  • Gifts may be designated for a special fund or to the general fund

  • Endowment committee members are elected for 5 year terms

  • Grant request guidelines ask how the proposed use reflects Valley’s Mission Statement
