Confirmation
Teenagers have so many life changing decisions to make: how much to study, where to go to college, how to drive, which friends to spend time with, what career path to follow, or whether to get confirmed and join the church.
The way we choose to receive and interpret God's guidance during the pivotal moments in our lives, when our paths become unclear, can have profound impacts on how we live our lives and how we serve God.
At Valley, we view confirmation as an opportunity to teach young people how to listen to God, engage in an intentional period of discernment, and find the best spiritual practices that will draw them closer to God.
Starting in January of 2009, four energetic 8th and 9th graders began their confirmation journey along with their dedicated mentors. We are excited to welcome these young people as adult members in the life of the church.
